Day 1
Arrive at Manali

Holiday in the hills begins at Manali – the first stop of your Leh Ladakh tour itinerary.

Arrive at Manali from where a representative of our agent will take you to your hotel. Spend a leisurely day exploring this charming little hill town. Some places that you’d like to cover while sightseeing in Manali are Hadimba temple, Van vihar, Old Manali and the Manali market.

Late in the evening, have dinner at your hotel and get a good night’s sleep for next day’s adventures.

Day 2
Manali to Sarchu via Rohtang Pass

The road trip from Manali to Leh starts. Drive up to Sarchu via the hilly terrains of Rohtang Pass

Early morning after having your breakfast on the second day of your comfortable Leh Ladakh holiday and leave for Sarchu. It is a major halt point with tented accommodation in the Himalayas on the Leh-Manali Highway, on the boundary between Himachal Pradesh and Ladakh.

The highway crosses some of the highest mountain passes in the world and promises to be one of the most memorable and scenic experiences of all time. Some important points that you’ll cross on your journey are Rohtang pass, Keylong, Jispa, and Baralacha. After a hectic day, check into your hotel at Sarchu and retire for the night.

Travel Time (Manali to Sarchu via Baralacha): Approx. 8-10 hrs

Day 3
Sarchu to Leh via Lachulung La

Set foot in the much awaited Leh on the third day of your Leh Ladakh tour.

This is going to be the most important day on your Ladakh holiday. Proceed to Leh via Tanglang La and Lachulung La in the morning after having a hearty breakfast at your hotel. The route is very scenic and you’ll start feeling the atmospheric changes as you go higher.

On reaching Leh in the evening, take some time to relax and get used to the high altitudes. If you feel good enough you could also pay a visit to the Leh Market, Leh Palace, Shanti Stupa & Leh Gompa.

Distance from Sarchu to Leh: 244 km

Travel Time (Sarchu to Leh via Lachulung La): Approx. 6-7 hrs

Tip: Leh is at located at a high altitude and it takes time for the body to adjust to sudden environment changes. Travelers are advised to drink plenty of water and take enough rest on reaching Leh to avoid acute mountain sickness.

Day 4
Leh to Pangong Tso via Chang La

Your Leh Ladakh tour package will take you to witness the ever changing hues of the Pangong Tso Lake from dusk to dawn.

Head to Pangong Lake through world’s third highest motorable road – Chang La, situated at a height of 17,350 feet. The deep blue hue of Pangong is mind-bogglingly beautiful.

You can also pay visits at Hemis monastery, Thiksey monastery and visit the school where the Bollywood hit, ‘3 Idiots’ was shot. At night, you’ll be camping under the starlit sky at Pangong and have a scrumptious dinner by the bonfire.

Day 5
Back to Leh

Day 6
Leh to Nubra Valley via Khardung La

Day 7
Back to Leh

Wake up to a lovely morning and have a delightful breakfast, after which you’ll pay a visit to the Buddhist monasteries in Nubra Valley. Later you can explore the villages to learn the lifestyle and culture of people living in the northernmost region of India.

By afternoon return to Leh. Check in at the hotel and de-stress yourself. Spend your evening exploring the local surroundings. Return to your and stay for the night, marking an end to the seventh day of your tour package to Leh Ladakh.

Day 8
Leh to Kargil via Sham Valley

Travel to the land of martyrs, Kargil on the 8th day of your Leh Ladakh tour itinerary.

Leave for Kargil today after having your breakfast at your hotel. On the way cross charming stopovers such as Lamayuru and Alchi. The ancient monasteries of Mulbekh and Lamayuru will fill your hearts with spirituality. Other attractions in your itinerary of Leh-Ladakh that you’ll find on this trip are Fotu La, Indus Confluence, Magnetic Hill & Gurdwara Pathar Sahib. Spend the night at your hotel in Kargil after having your dinner.

Day 9
Kargil to Srinagar via Sonmarg

Before you leave for Srinagar in the morning from Kargil make sure to pay homage to the Indian martyrs at the Kargil War Memorial. Enroute visit Drass — the second coldest inhabited place in the world and ‘the meadow of gold’ Sonmarg.
